Post your response for M&M CAMP!

Last year M&M camp fell on my first weekend after my arrival at Trinity and so I attended the talent show, the Sunday picnic, hardly knew anyone who was there and certianly had no idea who or what made up M&M camp.

This year I know a little bit more and 3 aspects about camp strike me as amazing.

1)  The ingenuity and preparation that goes into making M&M camp a success.  Who would've thought to make the 10th anniversary of M&M camp into Wonder Witness camp?  Who figures out, prepares and serves food for 70+ people 3 times a day for 4 days?  Who puts together crafts which require effort and in which the children take pride?  Who writes and participates in custom made skits, object lessons, cabin devotions?  Who co-ordinates a nighted, black-light puppet show?  And to think that this has been going on for 10 years! WOW!

 2) The dedication of counselors- CITs, youth counselors, LITs, and adult counselors.  They all set aside summer free time to lead, guide, assist, comfort and help our M&Mers.  Some vacation off work, make the trip from town to camp numerous times a day for supplies-- this work is tiring and takes unprecedented committment- especially to come back and do it again.

3) I was enthused to see how much M&Mers, CITs and couselors, everyone there really enjoy their time at camp.  It is hot, dry, hilly, clean-up duty is even required of each cabin and yet when someone has to go home or leave camp for a little while the disappointment is very evident.  A cabin is sorry for a person who have to leave, short term exits are met with hesitancy, I even heard an upperclass high schooler who had to leave a little early ask, "Are we coming back to camp?"

This is phenominal!
